Biography :
Dr. Arbatova is also Director of the Center on International Relations at the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Europe. Furthermore, she serves as the Director of Policy Studies and Editor at the Committee Russia in the United Europe. She graduated MGIMO in 1973. In November 2003, she was granted the Onassis Foundation Professor fellowship and worked at ELIAMEP (Hellenic Foundation) on European Security and International Terrorism: The Balkan Connection. Dr. Arbatova received her Ph.D. in History from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations. In 19981999 she was visiting researcher at the Department for Strategic Studies at the Swedish National Defense College.
