Demur Chomakhidze

Member of the Georgian National Energy Regulatory Commission (GNERC) in 1996 – 2004. He was born in 1939 year. He is an engineer-economist. He worked at the Research Institute of Economy for 30 years. He is PhD in Economic Science, Professor, and member of several scientific academies in Georgia and abroad. He has published more than 150 scientific papers, including 20 papers regarding the development of the fuel and energy complex and economic issues. Among them, 3 papers have been awarded by the Georgian Energy Academy and Association of the Economist. Indicative plans for energy development, forecasts and concepts have been developed with his leadership and participation. One of them was awarded by the Academy of Engineering of Georgia. He was awarded the Medal of Honor. Since 2004 he has been an Advisor of the Commission.
