Siranush Galstyan

Siranush Galstyan joined WWF-Armenia in March 2006.

In 2002 she graduated from the Central European University (Budapest) with Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy.

During 2003-2006 she worked in Armenia in a forest related project dealing with participatory processes for development of forest policy and strategy, national forest program, forest legislation, capacity building and others. In 2004 she coordinated a CBD related project with preparation and publication of a guide on biodiversity for lecturers and students.

Her main duties at WWF-Armenia include coordination of conservation related projects and initiatives mainly connected with protected areas and forests. The activities ranged from the level of policy, institutional and legislative frameworks to field work in target areas. Over recent years she has successfully coordinated several projects, which included management effectiveness assessments, legal and institutional gap analysis, capacity building and publications.

During 2014-2015 she was a team member in developing a national biodiversity strategy and action plan for Armenia.
