Minna Lundgren

Bakgrund

Minna Lundgren holds a PhD in Sociology. She defended her dissertation 'Boundaries of Displacement: Belonging and Return among Forcibly Displaced Young Georgians from Abkhazia' in September 2016.

Forskningsområden

In her doctoral research project Minna Lundgren focused experiences of protracted displacement among internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Abkhazia living in Georgia. She used both qualitative and quantitative methods to explore understandings of belonging and return among among youth with no or few memories from Abkhazia before the armed conflicts broke out in the region in the early 1990ies. 

Her current research includes local integration of refugees in Sweden, and different aspects of everyday life inside Abkhazia. 
 

Pågående forskning

Minna Lundgren is presently involved in the project Sustainable Community Building (HåSa - Hållbart samhällsbyggande) financed by Tillväxtverket.

Undervisning

Minna Lundgren is program director for the Risk and Crisis Management program. She teaches introductory courses in Sociology along with courses in leadership, intersectionality and working life, and sociological methods. Minna Lundgren has several years of experience in supervision of undergraduate students. She has also previous experience from teaching courses in the bachelors program in Social Work (social law, disability, organization theory, migration and integration).

Övrigt

Minna Lundgren is a member of the Association of Nationalities Studies (ASN). She is a member of the steering committee of the Nordic-Baltic Network for Caucasus Studies.
