Project Description

Nina Pkhikidze’s study is an exploratory research on road infrastructure development in Armenia and Georgia and its impact on local social-economic indicators. It is aimed at revealing the impact of improved rural infrastructure on trade benefits of inter-country interconnections. 

CRRC-Armenia assisted the researcher in conducting fieldwork in Armenia. Overall 6 focus group discussions were held by CRRC-Armenia in 2016 and 2017 to identify the effects of road infrastructure projects on the village and household levels.

 
Methodology 
Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)
2-phased focus group discussions were conducted: 4 in 2016 and 2 - in 2017. Representatives of various communities both near Yerevan and remote ones were chosen by differentiated sampling.
