Summary

This master's programme offered at the Friedrich Schiller University is unique in Europe and provides expert knowledge of the Caucasus region on a highly individual level of supervision. It consists of a linguistic and sociocultural focus and may be profiled in the direction of political science, European ethnology / cultural history, Religious Studies, Southeast European Studies, Slavonic Studies or Indo-European Studies.

Students are required to spend one semester at a different institution: either in Halle (with a focus on Armenian studies) or at one of our partner universities in the Caucasus, for example in Tbilisi, Georgia.
